TOFCO CPP Limited is a family business located in the North East of England, just a mile from Newcastle Upon Tyne and its International Airport. It was founded in 1973 and is run by Managing Director Noel Toft.
With over 40 years of industry experience Tofco CPP Ltd have developed into one of the UK's leading manufacturer and supplier of Street lighting Cut-Outs / Isolators, Feeder Pillars / Panels and Passive Safe Termination Systems.
Supplying products into the UK Roads Transport network, its customer base includes the Highways Agencies, ASLEC Contractors, Public Utilities and Public Authorities to name only a few.
It also maintains a thriving Global Export Market supplying products to Europe, Middle East, Far East, Austrialia and New Zealand. To complement its core products Tofco has introduced the TVR unit, AC-LED Lamps and LED Gear Trays.
Noel joined the Company in 1984 having previously qualified as an accountant (CMA) and came to Tofco having gained valuable experience with various manufacturing companies in the industrial sector, latterly as Chief Accountant at one of the group division companies of RMC. In 2011 Noel led the family buyout of the Company and continued the re-structuring move away from Agent / Distributor to a wholly manufacturing Company. As Managing Director and majority shareholder, Noel now oversees the continual development of the core manufactured products within the UK market sector and is instrumental in the continued growth of the overseas export products.
Dave joined the family business in 1986 from Midland Bank and holds Institute of Banking qualifications in Finance of International Trade, Law, Economics and Accounts. A Fellow of the Institute of Sales Management (FISM) since 1996 he is responsible for the Panel and Pillar business, alongside assisting in the general overall running of the company.
Kevin has been with TOFCO CPP Ltd since 2002 and has worked in the Highways Sector for 25 years after completing his Electrical Engineering apprenticeship and qualifications with Amec in London. He is responsible for all major UK and Export projects and is involved with new product development. Kevin is a regular visitor to the TOFCO Middle East office where he works closely with our Export Sales Manager and official TOFCO distributors around the Gulf Region.
National Sales Manager
Alastair is our national sales manager, he has worked in the highways sector for 20 years. Based in Scotland, Alastair covers his home region, Ireland and is responsible for the UK sales team. He has a wealth of experience from his panel assembly background and has been responsible for introducing a number of new initiatives into this market namely the Retrofit range of lamps and gear trays.
Cut Out Production Manager
Darren re-located from London to Newcastle in 1991 and started working at Tofco in the month June that year. He initially commenced working as a cut out assembly operative working on the production line building up cut out units. Over a period of time he became fully experienced in the manufacture, assembly and quality procedures adopted by the Company. Darren was then promoted to the position of Cut Out Production Manager where he is now responsible for all aspects ranging from Works Order scheduling to final inspection of product ready for despatch.
Area Sales Manager for Area 3
Kevin joined TOFCO in April 2018, coming from a Street Lighting Contracting background he has over 25 years’ experience. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge on all aspects of the business. Kevin is a qualified Electrical Engineer, holds an HNC in Building Services Electrical + The ILP Lighting Design Diploma. With Kevin living in the West Midlands, he’s ideally placed to service his region.
Area Sales Manager for Area 4
James joined TOFCO in October 2018. He joins us from spending nearly eight years with Electrical Wholesalers, where he learned a wealth of electrical and commercial knowledge. James teaches Tae Kwon Do and has won 5 titles while representing the UK. With James being based just off the M25, he’s ideally placed to look after the London & South East.
